8860Settlement.com provides detailed and important information regarding the proposed settlement of the putative class action lawsuit filed against AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. and Nokia Inc. The lawsuit bears the title Terrell Ervin v. Nokia Inc. et al, No. 01-L-150.
The lawsuit was basically made on the basis that the 8860 model phones of Nokia are defective or are made with certain defects on design. Nokia denies all charges but has agreed to a settlement to avoid further expenses and other risks that may be caused by trial and continued litigation.
Members of the Settlement Class include individuals who purchased Nokia Model 8860 phones from AT&T, Nokia, and other authorized dealers, distributors and sellers in the United States. The Settlement, if approved, will give each Class Member a coupon worth $175 that may be used towards the purchase of any Nokia phone models and accessories that are available in stock or at www.nokiausa.com. A Valid Proof of Claim should be presented or submitted by Aug. 3, 2011 in order to avail of the coupon. The coupon is non-transferrable and cannot be converted into cash.
