GlobalCreditTCPASettlement.com contains vital information on the Class Action Settlement for the case entitled Kevin Lemieux v. Global Credit and Collection Corp.
The case was entered into Court by Class Representatives in behalf of all people in the United States who received a call from Global Credit between the dates January 5, 2004 to June 30, 2008. The lawsuit alleged that Global Credit and Collection Corp. violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act when it called persons on their cellular phones between the dates June 5, 2004 to June 30, 2008 without prior expressed consent from the persons concerned. Global allegedly used a prerecorded voice message or an autodialer when they made the calls. All allegations were strongly denied by Global.
To avoid any more inconvenience, Global has agreed to settle the lawsuit. If the Settlement is approved by the Court, all persons included in the Settlement Class will receive Settlement money provided they make a timely and valid claim. The amount that each person will receive will depend on the number of claims that will be received by the Claims Administrator.
All claims must be filed and postmarked not later than Aug. 10, 2011. Claims can be sent or filed in three different ways:
Call the Claims Administrator, Gilardi & Co., at 1-888-293-8818
Submit a Claim through the GlobalCreditTCPASettlement.com/submit.html webpage
Mail your claim to Global Administrator, c/o Gilardi & Co. LLC, P.O. Box 1110, Corte Madera CA 94976-1110
For persons who do not want to remain as part of the Settlement Class, they must file their objection or exclusion requests not later than Aug. 20, 2011. For a full description of the Settlement case, visit GlobalCreditTCPASettlement.com.
