HPEliteDesktopSettlement.com is the Settlement website of the HP Pavilion Elite Desktop Class Action lawsuit. The case is entitled Kent v. Hewlett Packard Company, Case No. C 09-05341 JF.
The Settlement was given preliminary approval by the Court on April 15, 2011. The Settlement is under the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
The lawsuit states that the above-mentioned HP Pavilion desktop computer models are defective and that they are prone to experiencing certain problems or failures. The lawsuit claims that the systems of these models are prone to becoming unresponsive and locking up after 30 minutes of performing a cold boot. These allegations are strongly denied by HP. Nevertheless, HP has agreed to a Settlement to avoid incurring more expenses and to avoid the risks involved in the lawsuit.
If you have purchased, leased, acquired, or received as gift any of the HP desktop computer models mentioned above, then you are affected by the Settlement. You are entitled to certain rights related to the Settlement. GlobalCreditTCPASettlement.com contains vital information on the Class Action Settlement for the case entitled Kevin Lemieux v. Global Credit and Collection Corp.
The case was entered into Court by Class Representatives in behalf of all people in the United States who received a call from Global Credit between the dates January 5, 2004 to June 30, 2008. The lawsuit alleged that Global Credit and Collection Corp. violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act when it called persons on their cellular phones between the dates June 5, 2004 to June 30, 2008 without prior expressed consent from the persons concerned. To avoid any more inconvenience, Global has agreed to settle the lawsuit. FootPadSettlement.com provides general information about the Settlement on the Class Action Lawsuit entitled Priscilla Hojiwala, et al. vs. Idea Village Products Corp., et al., Case No. 30-2008-00060295.
The Settlement was agreed by both the Plaintiffs and the Defendants to resolve the Class Action lawsuit targeted against Idea Village Products Corp. (the Defendant). The Class Action lawsuit claimed that Idea Village Products Corp. made false statements in the advertising of its Kinoki Foot Pad products, commonly known as Kinoki Detox Foot Pads or Kinoki Foot Pads. The lawsuit alleged that the false statements made by the Defendant were a violation of the California Consumer Protection laws. The lawsuit further stressed that the inappropriate words used in the advertising of Kinoki Detox Foot Pad products caused damage to the Settlement Class.
Idea Village Products Corp. denied any liability to the lawsuit, stating that they have not done anything wrong that may have harmed the Settlement Class in any way. To avoid further expenses and risks of litigation, both Idea Village Products Corp. and the Class Representatives agreed to settle.
If approved, the Settlement will provide all persons who purchased the Kinoki Foot Pad products in retail stores in the United States a cash rebate of $10 for each Foot Pad product purchased during the Class Period. The Settlement Class will also receive gift products. To be able to claim these Settlement benefits, Class Members must be able to present proof that they have indeed purchased the Kinoki Foot Pads of Idea Village. They must also be able to submit a Claim Form on time.
